Brody has finally started to roll over. He wasn't to sure about it the first few times he did it, but now hes getting a little more used to it. this picture was i think the second time he rolled over completely by himself and he wasn't too happy at all. At first he just kind of looked around like he had no idea what just happened, and then he started crying. Hes done it a few more times since then though and he doesn't get quiet as mad. I'm very excited for him to be rolling over but I'm also a little nervous...hopefully he wont be rolling off the couch or bed! My mom took Brody to the Doctor while I had to work and he asked if he was rolling over good from both sides yet. He was very surprised when my mom told him he just barely started rolling over. Hes a little behind I guess because of how stinkin spoiled he is! I swear between my parents, Evan, and I Brody never gets put down so he has hardly ever had the chance to learn how.
I was never able to get Brody to eat rice cereal, oatmeal or even the oatmeal with fruit in it. He just wouldn't have anything to do with it. He would make gaging noises every time I would try to feed it to him. So we didn't waist too much time on that before we tried baby food. He absolutely loved it! So far he has had pears, applesauce, and prunes. At first he didn't like the applesauce too much, but hes kind of getting over that now. I really don't think he has a favorite, he just loves food! I can never seem to feed him fast enough either, he wants one spoonful right after another. He will cry if i don't get more to him fast enough! He always eats at least one whole jar or package full, sometimes even a half of another one. He just cant seem to get enough.
My poor little Brody has been sick for over a week now. He was just starting to get over his cold and he actually sleep good last night for the first time in a long time and in his own bed! So I thought he was starting to feel better, well little did I know that he would wake up with one eye glued shut. Earlier this week Evan got some kind of virus that looks like pink eye but isn't, well I have been very careful to keep Brody away from it...obviously not careful enough. You cant see it super good in these pictures but his one eye that did open had a whole bunch of gunk in it, and his other eye just wouldn't open at all. I was very surprised how happy he was though, he was in a very good mood for some reason. All week he has been a little monster, my Mom can testify for it too. I feel so bad for my poor little man, one thing after another. Hopefully this is the last of his sickness's.
My Mom had to work today so this morning I was in charge of taking Evan to school. I ended up waking up late and the car was all frosted over so while I went to warm it up and scrap the windows I asked Evan if he would change Brody's diaper for me. Now keep in mind that Evan has only changed one diaper before...but its still pretty funny. By the time I got back in Brody was already changed dressed and ready to go, I was quiet impressed with Evan! After we got back I was nursing Brody and all of a sudden My stomach felt really warm, Brody had peed all over me. I was a little surprised that one little boy could produce that much pee, since he was just changed not even 20 minutes earlier. Well i went to change his diaper and this is what I found...
About a month ago I put Brody in his bassinet to sleep. Yes he used to sleep with me, and I loved it but now hes just getting too big and moving around too much. And being that I only have a twin bed he was taking up way too much room. So I finally gave in and moved him into his bassinet. He actually is doing really good in it which surprised me, as long as his puppy is with him that is. My moms good friend Nately bought Brody this cute stuffed dog, he always liked to kind of snuggle up to it so I figured Id see if it helped him sleep better. And sure enough it did, he will go to sleep snuggled right up to it. He also loves it when I turn the vibrator on that is on his bassinet, and of course hes got to have the binky. First of all don't judge me for putting a stuffed animal in Brody's bassinet with him. I know they say its bad but every mom knows she will do anything to make her baby go to sleep., and if she says otherwise shes lying. And second yes hes STILL in his bassinet. He is pretty much the exact length of it, so he still fits but there's no growing room. I need to set his crib up but there's just no room in my room.
The other day I was going through Brody's clothes and taking out the ones that don't fit him anymore, this seems to be a weekly routine I swear he grows out of clothes like crazy. As I was putting them away I noticed his newborn clothes that had been put away a looong time ago. I know its hard to believe but yes Brody did at one time actually fit into newborn clothes, in fact they were a little bit big on him. I couldn't get over how small and cute they looked, I don't even remember him being that small. My mom proceeded to tell me that I better not have another baby just so I can have small cute things again...haha I told her not to worry, one is PLENTY for now. I thought it would be fun to see what his newborn clothes look like compared to him now.
I absolutely love jeans on Brody, he just looks like such a little man in them. He was only in the top pair for about a month at the most. They are 3 months and there is no way they are fitting on him, the pair underneath are 12 months and fit him perfectly...I know, big boy.

Like I said in one of my other post, for New Years Eve we went to Camas to visit some friends of ours, which also meant we were there when Brody turned 3 months! I know 3 months might not be a big deal to some of you, but it is to me. My parents actually started this tradition with Anya and it hasn't stopped ever since. Whenever one of us kids turned 3 months my parents would get a little cake and celebrate, not that we could actually eat it. When I asked my parents why they started this little tradition they couldn't really explain it, they said it just happened. One day after work my Dad just brought a cake home when Anya turned 3 months. My reasoning behind this is that 3 months is kind of a little milestone. To me 6 months is a big deal, and well 3 months is half way to 6 months! Anyways, it was a lot of fun especially since we could spend it with our good friends the Burnett's. The cake was great too....too bad Brody couldn't eat it, he would have loved it!
