New Favortie toy!!

New Favorite Toy
Thursday
December 25th, 2008

This is one of his favorite toys, hes even getting strong enough to where he can pull down on it and make it vibrate!

For Christmas I got Brody the Rainforest Gym. He absolutely loves his new toy, he cant get enough of it. He really seems to like the music and the lights. He is the kind of baby that can only be entertained by one thing for so long, so he wont stay under there for hours, but 20 minutes or so works for me! I added some other toys onto the empty hocks, he especially seems to like this one toy, I don't even really know what to call it...maybe a lion. Anyways it has these big colored feet that he loves to suck and chew on. And of course he loves his mirror, everyone is always telling him how good looking he is I guess he just wants to see what all the fuss is about.

Christmas With The Jensen's

Brody's First Christmas
Thursday
December 25th, 2008

This year was defiantly one of the best Christmas's Iv ever had thanks to my little angel Brody. I have a whole new outlook on life now that I'm a mommy. I love him so so much, I cant even begin to descirbe how much I love my son! He means everything to me, he is my world and I can imagine a day without him in it. Brody is the best Christmas present I could ever hope for. He always seems to put a smile on my face no matter what mood I'm in, I even think he cry is cute! I can defiantly tell that my life is different now and that I'm a mom, other Christmas's Iv always been so excited to get presents and I was this year but I was way more excited to buy presents for Brody and see him play with them. I can also tell my life is totally different because the one thing I actually asked for was a rocking chair...haha what a mom thing to do. Christmas really is a great time to have a new baby around.

Every year Santa comes to the Jensen's, and no Evan is no longer a believe...but Santa still visits! Us kids all go upstairs together to see what Santa left for us. I cant wait until I can do Santa for Brody,I'm going to have so much fun with that. Santa did visit Brody this year, but he hasn't quiet grasped the whole idea yet. Just to give you an idea of how big Bro's getting the pajama's he's wearing are size 12 months...they are a tiny bit big but hes not even 3 months yet!

I ended up getting him the Baby Einstein Jumpeer for Christmas and I'm glad I did...I love it! I wanted to have one of his big toys set up for him in the morning so I made my dad help me set it up late Christmas Eve. I know he isn't quiet big enough to go in it, but It was still fun to have it up for him. He seemed to kind of like it, now if only he could hold himself up.

Of course I had to get him a Baby's First Christmas stocking, I filled it with some toys for him. He doesn't seem to be to interested though, he's still a little sleepy.

What a typical boy, not interested in clothes. He just wanted to get to the good stuff...the toys!

This is a daily routine for Brody and I, I guess Christmas is no exception. One outfit usually doesn't last too long. I keep having to get him bigger diapers because he has so many blow outs!

Uncle Evan bought Brody a shirt and this pair of shoes for Christmas. We found these baby converse and just couldn't resist, they are so stinkin cute! His feet are so big that Evan had to buy a size 2 for him, and there's not a whole lot of room to spair.

Brody's other bigger toy was the Rainforest Gym. He absolutely loves it! I added some other toys to it and he cant get enough of it. He really seemed to like this mirror, I love that I caught him staring at himself. Did you notice that he has yet another outfit on.

Grandpa Jensen came down and stayed with us on Christmas. It's always nice to see him since we don't get to that often. It's also nice to have family around during the Holidays. We all wished that Grandma Straley would have come and stayed with us but she doesn't like to travel so she stayed home. I'm always glad when Great Grandparents get to see Brody.

Brody's First Christmas Eve!!!

Merry Christmas Eve Love
Wednsday
December 24th, 2008
Every year our Church has a Christmas dinner/party, two of our guests were Mr. and Mrs Clause. Ill have to explain this picture, as you can tell Brody is sleeping very soundly. This is very uncommon for him, Brody very rarely naps and I'm talking like never! If he does nap its for about 15 minutes if your lucky. I feed him a bottle right before we went up to see Santa to make sure that he was happy. We'll I guess it did make him happy...a little too happy. When I first set Brody on Santa's lap he slouched right over and almost fell over. After taking him from Santa two different people held him and he still didn't wake up...WIERD!

Mr. and Mrs. Clause thought that Brody was sooo cute, they said he was the perfect Christmas present for Mommy!

"Okay guys, seriously I swear I just saw a man in red with a beard walk behind me"

Once again napping, I think this whole Christmas thing Is wearing him out or something, Mommy's not complaining though.

Old Habits Die Hard

Old Habits Die Hard
Sunday
December 21st, 2008

While Brody was in my stomach he liked to suck on his wrist. He would suck it so hard or for so long that when I had him he had sucked the skin right off. Lately he has gotten back into the habit and has also become completely fascinated with his fist, if he could figure out how to put his whole fist into his mouth and suck it he would. Very rarely will he take a pacifier, he just likes to suck on his hand or wrist. This morning I was carrying him downstairs and I noticed he was sucking on his wrist again, the next thing I knew he had given himself a hickie!

Big Boy Bath Time

Big Boy Bath Time
Thursday
December 18th, 2008

Brody and I were out at Shad and Tawnya's house when he decided to have a major blow out..and I'm talking major! It would have taking tons of wiped to clean it all up so Tawnya and I just gave him a bath instead. She doesn't have a baby bath so we just put a little bit of water in the bath tub and I held his head up. He looked so cute in it, and really he didn't even look as little as I thought he would in a big bath tub. Hes starting to get a new habit of sticking out his tongue a lot, especially in the bath, I guess he thinks the water tastes good.

I need your help!

I Need Your Help!

First off I have to explain that I am a very indecisive person, I mean very. I have gotten better over the years but I still cant seem to make big decisions without other people opinions. I am going to buy Brody a jumper for Christmas and I cant decide which one I want. I absolutely loved the Baby Einstein jumper the first time I saw it. I also absolutely hated the Rainforest Jumper the first time I saw it, but when my Mom and Dad said they like the Rainforest one better I couldn't decide. It seems like the Rainforest jumper has more things to grab and touch, but I still like the Baby Einstein one....Which one do you guys like better?

This is the Baby Einstein one

And here's the Rainforest Jumper

What A Life Saver!!

What A Life Saver!!
Tuesday
December 16th, 2008
I honestly don't know what I would do without my baby toys, they are such a life saver! I think for me they have especially come in handy because Brody is so stinkin spoiled. He is usually being held by someone and he is isn't being held them someone is laying next to him playing with him. So he isn't the type of baby that you can just put down and walk away and he will be fine. He absolutely loves his baby swing and Boppy! The swing he loves the music and how the little fish twirl around, I call them his fish friends. He also loves to stair at the fish on the side. And his Boppy he loves because it vibrates. I honestly don't think I could get anything done with out them!

The swing is also great because after I nurse him he is usually asleep and I can just stick him in it and he will stay asleep ALOT longer then if i just lay him down. Like I said earlier though he is growing like a weed and wont be able to fit in them much longer. Both of these pictures are older so hes much bigger in them now then he was before. He is already almost sliding out of his Boppy. For Christmas I bought him the rainforest gym, it is so cute I'm sure he'll love it. I'm also going to buy him either the Baby Einstein Jumper or the Rainforest Jumperoo. Before I had Brody I hated, absolutely hated the Rainforest theme things. But now that I'm actually buying things for him they seem to be growing on me. They may not be the cutest things but they seem to be alot more fun for him. They have more things to look at and play with and grab, so we'll see which one I end up getting.

All dressed up with nowhere to go

All Dressed Up With Nowhere To Go

Saturday

December 13th, 2008

Lately Brody has been growing like a weed. I keep all his clothes that are bigger sizes out in our garage. The other night I decided Id better get some out since hes already wearing some 6-9 month clothes, and yes hes only 10 weeks! My friend Annie let me barrow a bunch of her son's clothes that don't fit him anymore, this little outfit was one of them. I believe it is size 3-6 months. It looked a little small so I at least wanted to put it on him and get a picture, it was to stinkin cute not to. I was right and it was a little small so he probably wont be wearing it again.

For some reason he didn't seem to be too happy in his little church outfit, I guess hes just not used to being that dressed up. My Mom and I decided that the real reason why he was upset was because he was all dressed up but the poor little guy didn't have a date. I told him Id be his date but he didn't seem to go for that.

My First Ornament

My First Ornament
Sunday
December 6th, 2008
Sunday we finally got around to putting one of our tree's up. Every year we have two tree's, a fake one downstairs for all our the kid ornaments, and a real one upstairs that is decorated a little nicer. Sunday we put up the little one downstairs. Earlier My Mom and I had bought Brody his first little Christmas ornament, it is a super cute little red and blue airplane, very boyish. I wanted Brody to be able to put up his own ornament so Evan held him while I help Brody hang the airplane. I don't even know what was so funny but Brody just started cracking up out of nowhere. He was smiling from ear to ear the whole time and doing his little baby talk laugh. It was the cutest thing to see.

Two Month Shots

Two Month Shots
Tuesday
December 2nd, 2008

Today went alot better then I thought it would. Brody had his two month shots. The last time he got his little foot pricked he FREAKED out, so I was a little nervous about this. But I just told myself its the best thing for him and he has to get it done so really there's nothing I can do. He did really good though. He did freak out when the nurse gave him his 4 shots, but as soon as I picked him up he was fine. He was perfect for Dr. Lane, actually when Dr. Lane was checking his heartbeat he was smiling and talking to him, it was so cute. He now weighs a whooping 15 pounds and is 24 1/2 inches long. His head is measuring at 21 which means its grow quiet a bit from last time we had it checked and it was at 15. When the nurse was putting all of his information into the computer to get his percentage she was shocked, she said " WOW I didn't realize he was that big", Her reaction was to his 97 percentile for both weight and height. Dr. Lane said that he is looking great, he looks healthy and happy and I'm doing a great job...Its nice to hear that from a professional.

If you ask me he looks like a pretty happy baby for just getting a whole bunch of shots!

2 Months Already!!!

Two Months Already!!!

Monday

December 1st, 2008

Today Brody is two months old! Honestly I know people say this all the time but it really does feel like I was just in the hospital giving birth to him, and now I turn around and hes two months old. Its insane how fast they grow up. His personality is growing and coming out more and more every day. Little things about him are changing...his lips are filling out, his hands and feet are getting even bigger and his eyebrows are getting darker so you can actually tell he has some (something he defiantly did not get from his mommy). He is become quiet the little talker as well. He will chat your head off let me tell you. And he is just about the smiliest baby I have ever meet, he is full of smiles just waiting for anyone who gives him a happy face. He is getting alot stronger too, he is holding his head up very well, but hes been doing that for a while now. He still has the little head bob but hes holding it up well for a two month old. He is so strong with his legs, he just loved to push up against you with them. I think that he thinks hes bigger and older than he is, hes already trying to use those legs for something.

Here's just a little glimpse of the Brodster smile.

Brody has started a new what will we call it...habit, and its not one that Mommy is not very happy about. If you look really close on this picture you'll see a little bit of drool under his bottom lip. Yap hes a drooler! And this picture doesn't even do it justice, hes a beast! I can do poop, I can do pee, I can do bugger's, I can even do throw up and spit up...but I HATE drool. I don't know why, I mean its just spit. But it really grosses me out. I can handle it, but by no means is it my favorite part of being a Mommy.

Brody was absolutely fascinated by the blanket I layed him on, we couldn't even get him to look away from it. He has also picked up an old habit of his. When he was born the doctor noticed a spot on his wrist where it looked like the skin was rubbed off or something, I didn't really know what it was or what to think. Dr. Hernandez automatically said he was a wrist sucker, so in my stomach he was just a sucken away on that wrist, there's even still a mark from in (maybe a scar). Well a couple weeks ago he started doing it again. Hes a shoulder baby, he LOVES to be up on your shoulder so his wrist is always right there and he sucks on it. And I finally got the picture to prove it! This picture also shows his little elf ear haha, only his left ear is like that though.

Just another cute picture

This is Brody's all to famous pouty face. This is just the beginning of it though. Once he really gets going he sticks that bottom lip out so far I swear he must have taken lessons on how to make the perfect pouty face. I have never seen a baby do a better pouty face. Its so freakin cute because it gets me ever time. I guess it does work on Mommy after all, melts my heart every time.

Emma's Baptisim

Emma's Baptism
Saturday
November 29th, 2008
Over the years my family has grown very close to the Burnett's, I consider them my second family. We always enjoy spending time together. The Burnett's youngest girl Emma got baptized the Saturday after Thanksgiving in Moses Lake. We went up to the baptism to support Emma. It was such a beautiful memory to be able to be apart of. Emma is a wonderful and beautiful young woman. She is very lucky to have the loving family that she does. I have gotten to watch her grow over the years, she is very special to our family, we love her VERY much!

Just as we have fallen in love with Emma and her other two girls Everyone has fallen in love with Brody. It's so cute to see everyone around him, they cant keep their hands off of him! He is defiantly one loved little boy. Especially Erika and Natalie, It's fun to see them almost fight over him.

Here's all the kids Erika, Brody, Lauren, Emma and Evan. They absolutely love spending time together. They always seem to be able to find something to do and they have a blast doing it. You would think they wouldn't have that much in common being that they have three girls and then there's Evan, but they all get along so well.

After the Baptism we all went over to Emma's Grandpas house for lunch. Here's Evan and the girls playing ball with her cousins and the Dads. Natalie my Mom and I took advantage of the opportunity to sneak away and go shopping.
