Brody has officially had his first cold, and a very bad one too. Saturday he started to act like he didn't feel good, then on Sunday he really started coughing and its just been getting worse since then. I feel so bad for my poor little man, especially since he cant tell me how he feels or whats hurting. I took him to the doctor on Monday and he said that he just has a really bad cold and probably a lot of pressure in his ears. Last night was the first time he would nurse in a few days, he would scream every time I tried...this is very uncommon for Brody, nursing is usually his favorite thing to do. I can also tell he doesn't feel good because I got him to go to sleep around 8 last night which is also very uncommon, he usually wont go to bed till around 11 or 12. Mommy is just hoping that he starts feeling good soon. When we were at his doctors appointment he weighed 18.10 pounds, he just keeps growing and growing.

I already did a blog about Valentines Day but I forgot to add this picture. My sweet Dad get us something every year. This year the Burnett's were here so my dad got us all the Taste of Heaven cookies with our names on them, I thought that was so sweet! I just had to take a picture of mine and Brody's. My dad also got me flowers and some of my favorite candy...almond roca's.

Brody had quiet the Valentines day this year, and I would have to say that it was Mommy's best Valentines day too, Its so much fun having a baby around on holidays! He is the man of my dreams and a wonderful Valentine. I got to work in floral for Valentine so I had lots of ideas on what to get Brody...so much to choose from. I decided on this little puppet stuffed bear, it is so cute, when you close his mouth it starts singing a really cute love song. Brody enjoyed that but not as much as he loved the balloons I got him, he couldn't keep his hands off of them! They keep him entertained for quiet a while. It is so fun watching him grow and explore new things. He is at the stage where he cant keep his hands off anything. I swear if something is in his reach I guarantee he will be grabbing it. He is growing up so fast. This year was especially fun because the Burnett's came and stayed with us for the weekend. There family absolutely loves Brody and he loves them too! After I got off work Brody and I went over to Stuarts house for dinner, Brody was an absolute angel. He was perfect for mommy, I think that was his Valentines gift to me.

My Mom had to work today so this morning I was in charge of taking Evan to school. I ended up waking up late and the car was all frosted over so while I went to warm it up and scrap the windows I asked Evan if he would change Brody's diaper for me. Now keep in mind that Evan has only changed one diaper before...but its still pretty funny. By the time I got back in Brody was already changed dressed and ready to go, I was quiet impressed with Evan! After we got back I was nursing Brody and all of a sudden My stomach felt really warm, Brody had peed all over me. I was a little surprised that one little boy could produce that much pee, since he was just changed not even 20 minutes earlier. Well i went to change his diaper and this is what I found...

Poor Evan, he is never going to live this one down. I don't even know how he did it but he managed to put Brody's diaper on backwards. You would think it would be even harder to do it this way, but he somehow managed it. I asked him how he did it, if he had to flip Brody around backwards and he was just all embarrassed and said he just did it. My Mom and I thought it was pretty funny, but Evan sure didn't. We'll just say its a learning experience for Evan, I don't think he will ever put a diaper on backwards again.

Yesterday Brody turned 4 months, what a better way to celebrate than super bowl Sunday! Well at least some day he will enjoy watching it. Stuart Shay and I watched it at my parents house and he didn't seem to interested in it. Only once while Stuart was holding him he just stared at the TV, it was so funny to see both of them so intently watching the game. I usually take pictures when he turns another month older, but I forgot to this time so these ones will just have to do.

Brody had his 4 month shots appointment today and it took forever! His appointment was at 2:30, I had to work at 4:00 so I figured Id be fine. That wasn't the case, I ended up being about 30 minutes late to work. He didn't weigh quiet as much as I thought he would ( I guess he just feels A LOT heavier), but he is a lot longer then I expected. He weighed 18.2 pounds and is 27 1/2 inches long. I guess this is a good thing, at least he isn't all short and fat, Dr. Lane said his proportions are very good. His head measured at 17 1/2 inches. His pulse was 133 and his oxygen was 100%. He is now in the 94 percentile, so not as high as it used to be but its still in the 90's.

Brody and I got pretty bored waiting for the doctor so we decided to take some pictures.

Here's Brody with his little pink bandage on. The nurses were laughing because they forgot to get boy bandage's, they said just not to tell his friends and he would be fine. Both the nurses and Dr. Lane said that he seems like a very happy baby and that he is very active and alert. He wasn't so happy when he was getting his shots though, he screamed and screamed.
