About a month ago I put Brody in his bassinet to sleep. Yes he used to sleep with me, and I loved it but now hes just getting too big and moving around too much. And being that I only have a twin bed he was taking up way too much room. So I finally gave in and moved him into his bassinet. He actually is doing really good in it which surprised me, as long as his puppy is with him that is. My moms good friend Nately bought Brody this cute stuffed dog, he always liked to kind of snuggle up to it so I figured Id see if it helped him sleep better. And sure enough it did, he will go to sleep snuggled right up to it. He also loves it when I turn the vibrator on that is on his bassinet, and of course hes got to have the binky. First of all don't judge me for putting a stuffed animal in Brody's bassinet with him. I know they say its bad but every mom knows she will do anything to make her baby go to sleep., and if she says otherwise shes lying. And second yes hes STILL in his bassinet. He is pretty much the exact length of it, so he still fits but there's no growing room. I need to set his crib up but there's just no room in my room.

The other day I was going through Brody's clothes and taking out the ones that don't fit him anymore, this seems to be a weekly routine I swear he grows out of clothes like crazy. As I was putting them away I noticed his newborn clothes that had been put away a looong time ago. I know its hard to believe but yes Brody did at one time actually fit into newborn clothes, in fact they were a little bit big on him. I couldn't get over how small and cute they looked, I don't even remember him being that small. My mom proceeded to tell me that I better not have another baby just so I can have small cute things again...haha I told her not to worry, one is PLENTY for now. I thought it would be fun to see what his newborn clothes look like compared to him now.

The little stinker wouldn't straighten him legs out, but I think you get the picture. His old pajamas go to about where his knee is.

I absolutely love jeans on Brody, he just looks like such a little man in them. He was only in the top pair for about a month at the most. They are 3 months and there is no way they are fitting on him, the pair underneath are 12 months and fit him perfectly...I know, big boy.

The pair underneath actually don't fit him either (6 months), but I didn't have anything else to compare to. The only pajamas that fit him are the gowns and the footless ones, and half of those don't even fit him. Hes just so long. It really is crazy how fast baby's grow. And I really didn't notice it until I looked at pictures of when he was littler and clothes that he used to fit into. Brody isn't even 4 months yet and he has grow so much, I cant even imagine how big he is going to be a year from now. In a way I miss having Brody be so small and cute, but I'm also so excited for him to keep growing, every stage has its own special things about it. I'm trying to remember to enjoy ever stage that we go through and not try to get him to do the next big thing. Hes only a baby once, I want to enjoy every minute of it.

Ok, so we haven't quiet gotten to the whole grabbing of the feet stage, but we're almost there. Lately, especially in the bath Brody had been putting his legs straight up in the air and staring at his feet. Sometimes he goes to grab for them, and he can touch them but he hasn't quiet gotten a hold of them yet. He also does it when he doesn't have his diaper on, I think he feels a little restricted with it on. My Mom and I were laughing about it because we were wondering if he even knows that they are apart of his own body, he just seems so amazed by them.

This is my first tag, and to be honest I'm actually quiet excited about it. I keep seeing people do them and they seemed like fun but no one ever tagged me, my Mom finally had to be the one to do it.

It's weird to be doing a blog that doesn't involve Brody, and its even weirder to be doing a blog of me before I was even a mommy! This picture was taken at the high school state championship football game my Junior year. I believe that we lost the game, but it was still a lot of fun. My friend Breanne Wilson's older sister and her friends dressed up like "Super Fans" (If i remember right) for the football games. So our Junior and Senior year we (Jamie Hopwood, Me, Breanne Wilson, and Brooke Shaffer) decided to keep the tradition going and dress up as Super Stangs. It was so much fun, probably one of the best high school memories I have.

Brody and I go over to visit Shad and Tawnya Tinsley a lot. Tawnya is my best friend and we hang out all the time, so whenever we're together Brody pretty much has two moms. Her husband Shad has also fallin in love with the Brodster. Brody absolutely loves being around Shad, he can always seem to make him smile and laugh. And boy when those two get to talking Brody can go on and on. Tawnya and Shad are expecting a baby soon, its going to be so much fun having our kids play together. They are both going to be awesome parents, I can tell by the way they are with Brody. Brody always enjoys our visits to the Tinsley's house.

Like I said in one of my other post, for New Years Eve we went to Camas to visit some friends of ours, which also meant we were there when Brody turned 3 months! I know 3 months might not be a big deal to some of you, but it is to me. My parents actually started this tradition with Anya and it hasn't stopped ever since. Whenever one of us kids turned 3 months my parents would get a little cake and celebrate, not that we could actually eat it. When I asked my parents why they started this little tradition they couldn't really explain it, they said it just happened. One day after work my Dad just brought a cake home when Anya turned 3 months. My reasoning behind this is that 3 months is kind of a little milestone. To me 6 months is a big deal, and well 3 months is half way to 6 months! Anyways, it was a lot of fun especially since we could spend it with our good friends the Burnett's. The cake was great too....too bad Brody couldn't eat it, he would have loved it!

You cant see it that great in this picture, but My mom and I love this picture because he has his finger up on his lip like hes thinking about something...it just looks really funny.

I think my son is going to take after Uncle Evan and be a pyro, he couldn't take his eyes off of the candles!

Us blowing the candles out. It was so funny how completely mesmerized he was by the flames! As soon as Dan lite them he couldn't take his eyes off of them. No matter who called his name or who tried to get his attention he wouldn't look away. Not even I couldn't break his concentration, and he usually always turns when he hears my voice.

Don't tell anyone....but I gave him a little taste of the frosting. And actually, he hated it! In fact he was moving around so much that my mom couldn't even get a picture that wasn't blurry. I guess it just didn't taste anything like Mommy's milk.

Its always nice when college students come home for holidays because it means I get to see all my old friends. The Saturday after Christmas we all got together and went out for dinner at good ol El Caporel. This time I got to introduce someone special to all my friends, my little Brody! Everyone loved him, especially all the girls. At one time he was even being passed down the table, that is until he got hungry and had to be handed back to mommy. I'm glad that I got to see everyone because I wasn't able to as much as I would have liked this year, its just totally different being a mom. My life has changed sooo much, but I wouldn't want have it any other way!

For new years eve our family went to Camas to visit our good friends the Burnett's. While we were there I gave Brody a bath just in the normal tub since I didn't bring his baby tub and he absolutely loved it! I put a towel down on the bottom so that he could just lay down without sliding around. He would just kick and kick, Erika helped me and we both ended up a little wet from all his kicking! He is getting VERY strong with his legs. Well he liked it so much that when we got home I gave him a bath in the big tub too. I think he likes it because he can move around a lot more and kick and splash. In his infant tub in is constantly moving his legs but its little so they don't have much room. He is also in love with his toys! He loves to chew and suck on them especially, he is at the stage that anything he gets ahold of goes straight to his mouth...and I mean STRAIGHT to his mouth. Tawnya and Shad Tinsley bought Brody a bunch of toys for Christmas along with the ones I got him and he loves to play with them!

This is one of Brody's favorite toys because it has the chewy handles he can suck on, he likes to suck on the little antenna's.

I always think that he looks to cute wrapped up in his little towel after I give him a bath! What did I tell you, he loves to suck on anything he can find, his towel toys and defiantly his own fingers.
