Ever since Brody started crawling he has been all over the place, he's unstoppable I swear! It's almost like now that he can actually move around on his own he thinks that he has to explore everything. And I love it I really do because I see how happy it makes him, but oh boy can he get into things. He makes mess after mess. But like I said I love it and I love him! It also keeps him a little more entertained now that he can find new and fun things on his own. The most recent new and fun thing he found was the stairs..yes the dreaded stairs. My Mom for some reason absolutely refuses to get gates too, so that doesn't help much. Brody started going up the stairs a little on day, but then my Dad thought that it would be fun to show him how to get all the way up. Yea, that didn't make my Mom and I very happy. My mom told him "Are you crazy? Your not the one who has to be home with him all day!" He hasn't seemed to hurt himself so far, hopefully we wont be having any brutal falls anytime soon!

Brody's hair has been getting pretty long, the wedding is coming up so I figured we might as well cut it so he can look nice and handsome for it. I had been holding off on doing the whole first hair cut, I hate to see his baby hair go...I don't want him to grown up any fast then he already is. It seems like my little baby is already long gone. But I will have to admit that I too was thinking it was about time. If you pulled his hair down it was over his eyes and curling over his ears. I didn't really realize quiet how long it was though until I saw this picture of him and what he looked like after.

He did surprisingly good! I wasn't too sure how he would act but he knows Kelly pretty good and he got to sit on Mommy's lap so he was an angel for the most part. He didn't cry at all but towards the end we had to finds a few ways of entertaining him. The spray bottle and comb worked and his gold fish were pretty preoccupying.

If anything he defiantly needed those bangs cut! They were getting so long, now he can actually see all the time without them poking his eye.

Kelly did such a great job, he looks so handsome and grown up with his new hair cut. She even put some gel in it and have him a little lesson on how to style his hair, now if he listens...that's another story! Next time it wont be so hard to cut it since that first baby one is over with. I just cant believe how fast he is growing up. I want to cherish every little bit of his baby days as I can, they are going by way to fast.

This morning I put Brody in the bathroom with me to hang out while I took a shower. Now this isn't quiet like it used to be, he used to just sit on his boopy pillow and be so content just waiting for me...not anymore. Those days are long gone! He is quiet the little explorer now, and being mobil doesn't make it any better. Anything and Everything that he can get into or reach is going to end up a mess by the time hes done with it. Before I got in the shower I thought that I did a pretty good job of putting everything up and out of reach that could make a big mess. Since my parents are redoing the bathroom our toilet paper holder isn't in the wall right now so we just set it up on the toilet. Well somehow he got it down and ended up having a pretty good time ripping it up. It was so funny, as soon as I got out and saw what he did he started crying. I didn't even get mad at him or anything, he must have just known he did a no no. I couldn't even get mad at him though, with a cute face like that how could I!

I always think that Brody looks so cute when gets ready for bed. He isn't always the most pleasant person to put to bed but he sure looks cute! Even though hes crabby at night Ill deal with it because hes still sleeping all through the night (cross my fingers), and in his own bed...now if only we could get him in his own room. Hes even going to bed at a decent time, If he doesn't have very good naps he'll go to sleep around 9:00. But on a usual night its around 10:00 or 10:30. These pictures were taking last night before we went to bed. He was a little out of it but he still looked cute!

This morning he woke up in an unusually good mood. He was waking up right when I finished taking a shower, I was hoping he would sleep a little longer so I could get ready for work. It seems that he is especially needy and clingy in the mornings, or maybe I just seem to notice it more because I'm trying to hurry and get ready so this morning he had to go in the snuggie while I got ready. It worked pretty good until he keep unplugging the straightener. It cracks me up the things he loves to play with, In the mornings if you really want him entertained just set him down with a makeup bag in from of him and he'll just sit there and take out all the makeup and play with it.

This is what my mom and I have been saying for seriously about a month now...something must be wrong with our little Brody!! He hasn't been himself for quiet a while now. He started teething probably a month ago (I feel like a bad Mom I didn't even write it down or anything), hes been pretty cranky with that. He got his two top ones in first, both at the same time. Then the two outside ones came in on the bottom. Now two more on the top and bottom have broken through , so as you can imagine hes been a bit grumpy with that. Hes been biting everything imaginable and drooling like crazy! He just hasn't been himself at all. He usually loves his baths but he hasn't been wanting to stay in them very long at all lately. He also loves to eat...and I mean LOVES it, up until today I couldn't get him to eat anything but his baby yogurt. He also had a really bad cough and a very runny noise. I had been putting off taking him to the doctor because it just seems like every time I take him there ends up being nothing wrong. Also I figured it must just be from him teething. So I finally just decided to take him in on Tuesday. When they weighed him he had dropped down to 20 pounds, he was almost at 22 before. The Doctor said everything was fine except for him noise. He ended up having a sinus infection. I was surprised it wasn't more then that because he has such a bad cough. So we got him on some antibiotics and hopefully he'll be good to go soon.

Also watch out for a post coming soon...Hes going to start crawling anytime now!

Just Some More Pictures

My Mom Evan Brody and I went to Camas the first weekend of April to visit the Burnett's. As you all know my moms absolutely loved taking pictures. When we were younger I hated going on her little photo shoots, I mean hated it...they lasted way too long and everyone ended up fighting in the end because none of us kids wanted to be there. But know I have learned to appreciate her pictures a lot more. I love the fact that she has taken so many pictures of my son, I'm sure we will all enjoy looking back on them as he grows and gets older. My Mom thought that downtown Camas was absolutely beautiful and wanted to take some pictures of Brody and I. All the little shops were so much fun, even Brody enjoyed window shopping!

I don't have too many pictures of Brody and I, mostly just Brody. Grandma loves to take pictures of Brody and hes usually pretty good about it too. So here's some pictures of the two of us when we went to visit our good friends the Burnett's in Camas.

He almost looks like he has red hair in this picture! That's a little bit of Grandma J coming out in him.

Brody's First Easter

I know, this is way after the fact but I figure I might as well still do it while I get the chance. I have had these pictures ready to do a post for a while now but just haven't had the chance to actually getting around to doing it. Ill be lucky if I even get this one done before Brody wakes up. Brody is an amazingly good baby....as long as your holding him and doing what he and only he wants to do! The kid is so stinking spoiled!!! So that is why I have been so behind on posts. (I have no idea how Dedree does it!! Shes amazing!!) I have so many I still need to do, it might be a while before they get done though. But anyways Brody had a pretty good first Easter. Even though he has no idea what is going on I got him a little Easter basket with a few things in it anyways. Tawnya and I found this cute Easter bunny that sings and wiggles it tail and flaps its ears when you push its paw. He didn't quiet know what do it with it at first, but he liked just watching it. He actually seemed to enjoy the grass the most. I swear he would rather play with weird things I would never think of then the actual toys that I buy him! I also found these cute camo eggs for him. I cant wait till next year when we can have an Easter egg hunt with him.

6 Month Shots

Brody got his shots a little late this time. He turned 6 months on the first but I didn't get his doctors appointments until the 21st. I had to work today and my Mom had achievement days so Anya, being the great aunt that she is took Brody to get his shots. I felt bad for not being there for him but I knew Anya would take great care of him. She said that he freaked out pretty bad when they gave him his shots, but calmed down after she picked him up. Doctor Lane said that he is doing great. Brody has 4 teeth coming in, two on top that have broken through quiet a bit now and two on bottom that are just coming in. He was pretty surprised by this, he said that 6 months is still pretty early for that. I thought it was normal but I guess its a little early. I made sure to have Anya write down all of his measurements. He now weighs 21 pounds (90%) is 28 inches long (80%) and his head is measuring at 44.5 cm, big boy!!

Today the hospital had the Easter bunny come and had a little Easter egg hunt. My best friend Tawnya works at the hospital, so she thought that It would be fun to have me bring Brody. I'm glad that she told us about it because Brody had a lot of fun.

First all the kids got to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap and get their pictures taken. I was a little worried because I thought Brody might be scared and end up crying, but he actually loved it! He was completely fascinated with him. I guess hes still a little too young to think that the bunny is scary.

Since Brody cant crawl yet I just sat him on the ground with a few eggs I found for him. They split the kids up into age groups, there was a 0-4 group. I think more than anything he just really liked being outside and looking around since we've been couped up inside because of the cold weather.

Brody also had some weird fascination with the grass...he keep wanting to eat it! What can you do, boys will be boys so I didn't really do much about it. I figured a little grass wont hurt.

Brody is finally getting to the point were he wants to interact with other kids. Before he didn't really know what to do with them or just didn't really care to play with someone else. But now he cant keep his hands off other babies. Mary Clifferd's little girl was there too so we sat them by each other. Brody really liked her binky holder, Iv never really put one on Brody so he thought it was pretty cool.

Since I have been working early lately I haven't been able to give Brody his bath. He is usually asleep when I leave around 5:40 am, so by the time I get home Grandma already has him bathed and ready. Today is my day off so I figured since I don't get to spend bath time with him very often we could do something fun, a bubble bath! As you can see he has been doing really good at sitting up lately. He really liked the bubbles and loved the new bath toys Natalie bought him!
